The BEAC issues the Certified Professional Environmental Auditor (CPEA®) credential, which is fully accredited by the Council on Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB). The CPEA credential sets you apart from your peers and is evidence of your understanding of today's developing environmental, healthy and safety (EHS) regulations.

The CPEA has four specialties:

Why do CPEA

The CPEA certification demonstrates an understanding of the current developing environmental, health and safety regulations. BEAC CPEAs qualify for Professional Membership status with the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).

Benefits

1. The ability to identify environmental impacts and aspects, apply professional environmental compliance auditing practices, and/or assess compliance with environmental regulations and laws.
2. The ability to identify health and safety impacts and aspects, apply professional health and safety auditing practices, and/or assess compliance with safety-related regulations and laws.
3. Become equipped with the understanding and skills in any combination of EHS technology and science, technical aspects and EHS management of business operations, requirements of EHS laws and related documents at local and national level, to evaluate implement and manage EHS compliance, the knowledge needed to compare EHS standards with the management systems and compliance audit effect, and the principles of EHS compliance and compliance implementation.
4. Become equipped with the knowledge, understanding and skills required for the implementation of programs related to Responsible Care, chemical processing, product stewardship, the distribution and transportation of chemical products, the requirements of EHS laws and documents, and Responsible Care and EHS management standards and systems or auditing knowledge required.

Certification

All BEAC certified individuals will be transferred to The Board for Global EHS Credentialing. as of 18 May 2020. In-process candidates and administration of the program is being transferred to The Board for Global EHS Credentialing as of 1 June 2020.
